Meet Our Leadership Team
Ryan Kohnke is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of ITS. He oversees the global Airframe and the Special Project businesses, bringing a customer centric approach to the organization. As the Airframe business leader, he manages the entire end of life process, from fleet retirement to components and systems sales, and the alignment of assets to support customers’ needs. The Special Project business caters to customers requiring cockpits, fuselage sections and accessories for several needs, from training to simulation.
In 2014 Ryan took over full responsibility of Europe and Americas Airframe Operations, culminating an increase in responsibilities that started when he and Co-Founder Scott started ITS in May 2002. Ryan has taken on many roles during the company’s development and growth with responsibilities from operations to quality, from export compliance to business development. Prior to founding ITS, he worked as a Sales Account Manager for a major computer manufacturer. In this role he mastered his sales expertise, building the skills that prepared him to build ITS.
Ryan graduated in 1998 from Northern Arizona University with a BS in Hotel Restaurant Management and a Minor in Business Administration. He is an active member in the Young President’s Organization (YPO) and a Co-Founder in Son’s of Arizona, a local Charity group that helps support under-privileged children. He is an avid dirt bike and off-road enthusiast.
Scott Tinker is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of ITS. He oversees Aircraft and Engine asset acquisitions, leasing, and all facets of Engines business. In this role, he provides leadership for the new Engine business, a significant area of growth for the company. Scott’s strengths include using consummate negotiation skills, along with the knowledge and established relationships, to acquire the right assets to support the company’s expanding customer base.
Scott has lead a skilled team in the foundation of ITS Europe in 2013, expanding the global reach of the company including high growth regions. He and Co-Founder, Ryan, created ITS in May 2002, and backed by an expert team of industry professionals, have grown the company to be a leader in the Air Transport Aftermarket industry. Before founding ITS, Scott was the Director of Operations and then Sales Director for an Aerospace service company, where he learned about the industry and honed his operations and sales expertise.
Scott graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1999 with a Business Degree and Marketing emphasis. Scott lives in Tempe, Arizona with his wife and two children. He loves classic cars, is an avid boater, and enjoys waterskiing and wakesurfing.
Linn Shaw is ITS Director of Finance. He joined the company in 2007 and oversees all Financial, Treasury, Human Resources, Internal & External Audits and Capital growth planning. As the organization has grown domestically and internationally, Linn’s global understanding of business, structures and controls plays a big portion to the success of the organization. His focus is to maintain financial stability while seeking to expand the company.
Linn has 4 years of experience at the Director Level, 8 years’ experience at the Controller level and overall 14 years’ experience in business and financial analysis management within several public and private firms. Prior to joining ITS, Linn worked for a custom manufacturing sign company, Miracle Signs.
Linn received a BA in Finance from Wichita State University, and an MBA in International Business from The University of Arizona. He enjoys spending time and being active outdoors with his wife, two young boys and his dogs.
Karen Grimes is the Managing Director of ITS Europe. She joined the company in 2013 and she is responsible for Sales and Operations of ITS Europe, supporting Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). As a first step to supporting our global customer base, ITS Europe opened its sales office and warehouse in2013 in Dublin, Ireland.
Karen brings to ITS over ten years of dedicated experience in the aerospace industry across a variety of roles including Operations Management. She comes from Aeroinv.com where she was the Vice President of Sales for EMEA and, previously, an Operation Manager. She started her career in the Oil Industry.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and Masters Business Studies (MBS) from the National University Ireland Galway. She is devoted to her family and spends all her free time on family fun and adventures.
Bo Lump joined ITS as Vice President of Asset Management in October 2015, with leadership responsibility of the company’s airframe materials including asset acquisition, purchasing, repairs, and product line management.
Bo has more than 18 years of executive experience in business development, program management, client engagement and contract negotiation in the Aerospace industry. Prior to ITS, he worked at Chromalloy as the Global Director of the Small Engines Market Segment with a focus on growing the commercial engine services business.
He began his career in the U.S. Navy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. He also holds a Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and LEAN Advocate. He is a self-described family man and enjoys watching his sons’ football games
