ITS celebrates 15th anniversary
ITS celebrated 15 years of success as an industry-recognized true supply chain partner in the Air Transport Aftermarket industry, delivering the individual components, complex systems, engines and solutions that airlines, leasing companies, MROs, OEMs and resellers need.
ITS was founded in 2002 by two entrepreneurs and current Managing Partners, Scott Tinker and Ryan Kohnke. The founders saw opportunities in the used serviceable parts market where others did not. Their infectious energy, coupled with their understanding of the market and their willingness to take risks to grow the company, led to Inc. 5000 recognized growth year after year. Today ITS is a mid-size company that counts many of the top airlines and MROs in the world as partners and customers. “These fifteen years have flown by and Scott and I are proud of what the ITS team has accomplished through the years with hard work and a touch of fun. I believe our customers appreciate how we continue to work with them as a partner with the same enthusiasm and attention from day one”, says Ryan Kohnke.
Following the addition in 2016 of the Boeing 777 aircraft platform to the ITS products and services portfolio, ITS continues to add new aircraft and engines types based on market demand. ITS is also expanding its worldwide local presence with the recent announcement of the addition of a local partner in Latin America, one of the fastest growing air travel markets in the world.
From its humble origins in 2002, ITS now employs over 70 people worldwide with operations and partners on five continents, supporting customers around the world.
ITS announces a strategic partnership to expand product and service offerings in Latin America
ITS, a leader in the Air Transport Aftermarket industry, is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with California Airsales (CAS), an experienced aerospace distributor of aircraft equipment and technical aviation services in foreign markets. CAS is now representing ITS in the Latin American market, expanding the availability of ITS products and services in the region.
“Since planning our first overseas expansion, we have included a “think globally, act locally” strategy, where we bring our products and services to customers worldwide by establishing a local presence to intimately know the market. The addition of CAS strengthens our roster of worldwide representatives”, says Ryan Kohnke, ITS Managing Partner. “Many of our current customers operate in the region and we believe that this partnership will allow us to better support them in the field as well as introduce the ITS reputation as a sophisticated and personable partner to local customers”.
Latin America is one of the regions in the world with the most rapid growth of air travel, at an average 4.7 percent annually over the next 20 years. It is home to many airlines with the highest worldwide expected passenger growth rate and it will see the overall regional fleet more than double by 2034. A significant part of the growth in the region is spurred by low cost carrier (LCC) that have grown over the last 10 years from around 10 percent market share to almost 40 percent today.
CAS brings to ITS their local experience in the Latin American region. “We are excited to partner with ITS to provide the products and services of such a dynamic and entrepreneurial company to customers with which we have strong relationships built over 15 years”, says Marcos Silva, CAS CEO.
